Hayley Williams talks about her past mental health struggles: “It can seem difficult to succeed, in general, in the modern world”

Paramore’s Hayley Williams has opened up about her past mental health struggles in a new post for World Mental Health Day – see what the singer had to say below.

Yesterday (October 10) marked World Mental Health Day. To commemorate the importance of the sun and mental health, Hayley Williams’ cosmetics brand Good Dye Young published a message from the singer, in which she touched on her past struggles and shared important tools for those in need.

Williams wrote in her message: “In 2018, after years of struggling with my mental health and depressing life issues, I was finally diagnosed with depression and a form of PTSD. I the fact that I didn’t know anything about mental illness and how dangerous it can be. I didn’t realize that it can affect your health.”

She continued: “My doctor had been telling me I had chronic fatigue but yet, I didn’t appreciate how connected my mind and body are. This type of fatigue is becoming more common, by the way. It can seem difficult to be successful, fully, in today’s world. If I didn’t have access to mental health professionals and therapists who work, I may never have learned these things and continued to struggle alone, without answers. I hate to think how many people are exhausted without any answers or help in sight.

“Obviously, there are little things we can do every day to have fun or give ourselves space to express ourselves better about how we feel and who we are,” he added. “Small awards help. I’ve been turning to music, dying/changing my hair, some kind of community… but sometimes you need more support than these things can provide. There are good people doing amazing work to make the mental health journey more balanced and effective, and I will live to highlight a few, so that if you feel If you are drawn to one of them, you may be able to help. ”

It’s not the first time Hayley Williams has spoken out about mental health. In 2018, the singer published his interview a lot, where he talked about his failed relationship with Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory, the departure of Paramore bassist Jeremy Davis and more.

Later that year, she shared another post on social media, where she criticized people’s lack of compassion for others who are not going through the same difficult times as them: “I’m tired of people who treat mental health as/or situation.. sometimes you are just blue for a while, you are making a path to light ).

In the discussion covering and NME last year, Williams spoke out about the pressures women – especially teenage girls – face in the industry: “Oh, my God. I hope no young women hear these things. bad that I had. When we were young, the way to go was to be tough all the time. Our whole experience was contributing to the mistreatment of women and anything that didn’t belong guys. We were on the Warped Tour, this little band Fueled by Ramen was acting like a hard band on stage. I felt like I was going to get kicked out. ”

Recently, Williams revealed that Paramore is working on new music, and the singer is speaking out Dork that the band recorded music at Clouds Hill studio in Hamburg.

He went on to say that they’ve been playing around with an idea that is “kind of on the other side of the track to what we’ve been working on at home,” according to Williams. But that makes me happy.

The band recently released their 2023 album ‘This Is Why’, which was awarded four stars by NME: “Paramore has finally gotten to where their music has been for the better part of the last decade. Rather than trying to top their peerless hits, the band instead discovered a new warmth to ‘This Is The Reason’, and the result is truly triumphant.

In other news, Paramore and Bug Girl announced a business partnership with all proceeds donated to Medical Aid for Palestine.
